The Hygge Approach

Kim McDonnell, LE, LMT, CLT

Hi, I'm Kim - a Licensed Aesthetician, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

For more than 13 years, I've worked in the fields of skin health, therapeutic bodywork, and clinical education, with experience spanning both luxury spa and medical environments. My background includes 10 years at Spa Mirbeau and 3 years in a medical spa setting, where I developed a passion for helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting results through thoughtful, individualized care.

As my practice evolved, so did my understanding of the body's interconnected systems. This led me to pursue advanced training in lymphatic care and ultimately become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, allowing me to support clients recovering from surgery, managing chronic swelling, or navigating life with lymphedema.

Hygge Aesthetics & Wellness was built on the belief that effective treatment doesn't have to feel aggressive or rushed. My approach combines corrective skincare, therapeutic massage, lymphatic care, and nervous system support to create treatments that are both results-driven and deeply restorative.

The Danish concept of Hygge (hoo-gah) is at the heart of everything I do. It represents warmth, comfort, presence, and well-being - the belief that healing happens best when we feel supported and cared for.
